BIOGRAPHY

Pat was actually on his way to become a successful football player, but decided to persue a carrier in music instead. The fact that his father owned a club was of great influence of course : he already Dj-ed there while he was still very young and was almost raised in de nightlife.

He started his carrier as promotion manager for the legendary Belgian label Antler-Subway. One of his duties was to escort artists to clubs, events and TV shows. Later on he became tour manager and keyboard player of Praga Khan. During his travels all over the country and beyond, he came into contact with Belgian succesbands such as “Clouseau” (who sing in dutch), which scored one monsterhit after the other. “I can do that”, said Pat and two months later, he founded his own band “Leopold 3”. Bandmembers came and went, but after a while they opted for Eric Goossens (who also was a famous soap-actor) as singer and Stefan Wuyts (who later went on to become manager of Lasgo and Ian Van Dahl) as drummer. Patrick himself was the guitarist. After 2 years of hard work, they finally broke through and became one of the biggest Dutch-singing bands Belgium has ever seen. When they ended their activities in 1993, the band had two gold albums, 9 number 1 singles and numerous national awards.

But during this period, Pat remained active in the dance scene as well and when Leopold 3 ended, he again focused 100% on his electronic activities. He worked on several projects such as “Hype & Krimson” (with Jef Vanbokrijk), “2 Fabiola”, “Zohra” , “Nunca” and solo under his “Pat Krimson” monicker. Especially 2 Fabiola and Nunca crossed over to the charts and subsequentially he toured all over the globe with these formations. Within the Antler-Subway company he had become one of the top A&R people and was, among other tings, the man behind one of the biggest house labels of that era : Dance Opera. Soon he came up with the idea to organise parties for that label. And thus were the first mega house-parties in Belgium conceived : the “Dance Opera Trip”. These events kept getting more popular : up to 20.000 visitors per party! Later on, he started a new club concept called “Atmoz” and again it was a hit. After a while, Atmoz took place every week on 2 locations and also went “on tour” to clubs and events all over the country. And again he started a label linked to and named after this concept.

With 25 hits, several golden records and countless awards under his belt, he moved to Ibiza. During his 6 year stay on the party-island, he occupied himself with his Benimusa label, music journalism, a club, Ibizen brainwaves (wellness) and several other projects. Doing nothing was never his strong point!

But now he’s back in Belgium and the music virus caught up with him!

While starting up the 2 Fabiola project again (with several hit singles as a result), he also put his solo and Dj carrier back on track. During the summer of 2008 he released his first solo vinyl and CD-single : colours (United in Ibiza) for which he worked together with the exotic beauty Ideley from the Netherlands, who provided the vocals of this production. The video clip was shot in Ibiza. Meanwhile requests for Pat’s DJ sets in Belgium and abroad are pouring in again and he promises a lot more fireworks for 2009.
