DJ, Producer en Recording Engineer “Gino Windster” is geboren en opgegroeid op het tropische eiland Curacao. Als kind reeds bestond zijn speelgoed uit cassette recorders, oude stereo’s en oude platendraaiers. Het was van toen reeds overduidelijk dat muziek Gino in de genen zat..

Op dat ogenblik vond hij vooral inspiratie en werd hij beïnvloed door muziekstijlen als Disco, Hip-Hop, Pop en Electro. Zijn grote voorbeelden en bezielers: Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Bomn da Bass, Hithouse en Ben Liebrand.

Als jonge tiener trok hij er op uit met zijn eigen mobiele discobar en was hij de ster op vele party’s, events, etc.. op het tropische Curacao. Tevens draaide hij in verschillende toonaangevende clubs en op meerdere grote festivals op zijn zwoele eiland. Als producer was hij ook zeer actief en nam hij reeds meerdere producties voor zijn rekening.

In de jaren 90, op 19 jarige leeftijd ontdekte hij een nieuwe muziekstijl: “HOUSE MUSIC”. En van meet af aan was dit “Love at first sight”!

In 1993, en dit op 21-jarige leeftijd emigreerde Gino naar Nederland met 2 belangrijke doelen: verder studeren en muziek maken. Hij studeerde af als IT-engineer, maar bracht ook zijn studies als Recording Engineer aan het AIA Institute tot een goed einde.

In Y2K lanceerde hij zijn eerste record label, genaamd Soul 4 Music. Nadien ontstond er “Marduga”, een compleet nieuw concept dat staat voor Quality Underground House Music, Artist Development en Exclusieve Evenementen in Zuid-Holland.

Als producer heeft Gino zich ‘all-round’ ontwikkeld. Niet alleen House en Electronic, maar ook Pop en Hip-Hop horen thuis in zijn leefwereld binnen zijn studio. Door het samenwerken met meerdere artiesten en producers ondergaat hij bewust verschillende invloeden en weet hij op deze manier een eigen sound te creëren dewelke overduidelijk aanwezig in zijn eigen Dance producties. Hij werkte reeds samen met grote namen als Paul van Dyk, Fred Numf, Roland Klinkenberg, Ton TB en Rob Boskamp, … om er slechts enkele te noemen.

Als DJ was hij reeds actief in meerdere landen: Spanje, US, Duitsland, België, Venezuela, Curacao, Aruba, Bonaire, etc.. En het mooiste moet nog komen! Gino zijn ambities als DJ en Producer reiken ver. En wedden dat hij met de gedrevenheid en het professionalisme die hem eigen zijn, het nog ongetwijfeld zeer ver zal brengen!

Zijn stijl als DJ kan je best omschrijven als: Progressive/Tech-House/Tribal!

DJ, Producer and Recording Engineer Gino Windster was born on the 14th of March 1972 on the tropical island of Curacao. At the age of 8 his toys were cassette decks, old stereo sets and turntables without pitch control. At the age of 12 he started taking guitar lessons.

Not even 2 years later the serious DJ jobs began. His musical styles at that time were disco, hip hop, pop and electro. He was influenced by the ones like Kraftwerk, Depeche mode, Bomb da Bass, Hithouse and Ben Liebrand With his own drive-in disco show
he played on a variety of clubs and party’s on his native island. He also did some minor productions as well as a numerous live mixing for a diversity of live bands and festivals.

In the 90′s at the age of 19 he discovered a new style of music, HOUSE MUSIC. He immediately fell in deep love with this kind music. After finishing his senior secondary vocational education in Curacao, Gino then 21, emigrated to the Netherlands in 1993 with 2 goals in mind, education and music (Or was it education in music, I wonder while writing these words). He studied Information system management and managed to complete the study of Recording Engineer at the AIA (Audio Institute of America) academy San Francisco CA at the same time.

In Y2K he launched his first record label / production company named Soul 4 Music. As the record and recording industry shifted, Gino also shifted his focus of how a label should be managed. From this new point of view he founded Marduga in, a complete new concept which stands for quality underground house music, artist development and exclusive events in the south of Holland.

As a producer Gino is able to produces a lot of styles, not only dance music but also pop and Hip Hop. Gino also works with artist from other genres to create new vibe in his dance music productions.

Having his tracks supported by the ones like Paul van Dyk, Fred Numf, Roland Klinkenberg, Ton TB(three drives) and Rob Boskamp, you can say that he is a top notch producer. Gino has performed in countries like, Spain, USA, Germany, Belgium, Venezuela, Curacao, Aruba, Bonaire. From this you can derive that he truly is an international rising star.
